Zen Interiors is a family owned design studio, with a diverse history that includes naval architecture, stained-glass, photography and fashion design. Our combined experiences and life journeys finally amalgamated to form a dream that realized in the current guise of Zen Interiors.
But far from being the end, it is only the beginning, and we have a lot of bright and exiting dreams for the future, which we invite you to share with us.
Years ago I started out by studying naval architecture at Westlawn, an American technikon, but after two years side tracked myself into starting a glass art studio, producing stained-, hot- and flameworked glass art. A few years later I studied interior design at the renowned British college Rhodec International, where I graduated with distinction in 2018. Together with my wife Monique, we launched Zen Interiors early 2019, combining our creative skills and experience.
I completed my fashion design studies at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2015, and for the first year worked as a shoe designer in the corporate environment. As a bona fide fashionista and artist, I needed more scope to express my creative nature, leading to my resignation in 2017 and the subsequent opening of Moniiki, a bespoke fashion couture service. Collaborating at Zen Interiors is a natural progression and will bring new horizons into our lives.
